Wheelbase (l) – The distance measured from the center of front axle to the center of rear axle is called wheelbase.
Ground clearance – The vertical distance between the ground and the lowest portion of the vehicle is called ground clearance. In passenger cars, low ground clearance is provided. High ground clearance is provided in all purpose vehicles.
Track width (a) – The distance between the centers of two tires on the same axle is known as track width.
Turning radius (r) – The radius of a smallest circle, which the vehicle makes, while taking a U-turn is called turning radius of an automobile.
